How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

Times are changing and so we too must change of the way we see and deal with these special gifted ghildren. We need to open our hearts and allow thes special people to exspress ther thoughts and ways and not push them away from us who can give up some of our time and energy to help support those with autisums.

That video was very well done. It made me cry.I hope this video is aired around the world and people realise it is actually a disability and not the parents. My child is 11, and we have only had a diagnosis for 3 years but in these 3 years we as parents have been ridiculed and blamed for bad parenting. All I want for my child is to be able to be understood and live a normal and happy life to the best he can without being knocked down.

...such a cruel disease, locking children inside themselves...I hope in my lifetime to see advances in medicine and understanding that will alleviate the suffering, sadness and lonliness it causes.

I think that the video was well done and is a great start to informing those who are unaware of what autism is and the challenges! I am sorry to hear that the video offended some, but it is everyones interpretation I guess. I think it was well done thanks

I have a 17 year old son with Autism, as well as a 19 year old daughter with Down Syndrome, and I am blessed to have a very supportive family. This video speaks to the very heart and soul of a parent with a child with special needs. We have always felt extremely blessed to have been entrusted with the care of two of God's very special souls, and have learned much in the last 19 years. There have been some tears along the way, but the laughter has always far outweighed the tears. Thank You for your extraordinary kindness and generosity.

Hi Enzo. I found the video where Alison speaks about driving off the GW bridge with her autistic daughter. Alison was speaking about a regular school -- most of which are overcrowded across the country even for regular kids -- where they have special classes for Special Needs children and where there are 12 children and 1 teacher in the classroom. This is an acceptable number according to the government with regards to special needs classes. So the fact that the comment was made about going to SCHOOL -- something that all children are required by law to do -- and attending a special needs class -- set up according to law -- does not diminish the horror of spending 15 minutes in a vehicle with your autistic child and thinking that murder is an acceptable option to raising your autistic child. What I did take note of in the video where Alison speaks of murdering her autistic daughter is that the parents who spoke want to CHANGE who their children are instead of ACCEPTING them for who they are and working within those parameters.

this video makes people realize that autism is real. However as parents of a 26 year old son we feel blessed for him. Our family and friends enjoy his love and expressions for life. He has the sweetest loving personality I've ever seen. His compassion extends not only to family, friends, and any animals he can get his hands on, but to strangers who are upset or hurt. He sometimes has trouble eating a meal out when a baby is crying or watching tv when someone is hurt or upset. We have all learned to appreciate the little things and look at life with more simplicity than before we would lucky enough to be chosen by God to be his parents.

To enzo who wrote: "Your comments about Autism Speaks are way off base- they don't want to wipe out autistic people -but find out what causes this disorder." Truth be told, the video says that they do want to wipe out autistic people. You may want to watch the video again where the follows phrase is flashed across the screen: "AUTISM SPEAKS wants a world where autism is a word in the history books." Is this not what the Nazis wanted for certain segments of the world population that were seen to be 'less desireable' in the twentieth century -- including people with disabilities? It was unconscionable then; it is unconscionable now. As for your comment that not "every person with autism feels the way that you do" you may want to educate yourself about those autistics -- of whom there are many -- who feel exactly as Tom has posted. What the video is promoting is ERRORISM to a T for autistics everywhere.

Thanks for this beautiful video, it was interesting to read the comments, I feel sad that it offended some... I hope that it will increase the awareness to the world, and maybe some day the puzzle will be solved.

To Tom the man who wrote the second posting- if you Watched the video where Alison said she wanted to drive off the GW Bridge ypu'll see that it was in reference to placing her daughter in a facility where she would just sit there and not learn anything. I doubt that every person with autism feels the way that you do- Your comments about Autism Speaks are way off base- they don't want to wipe out autistic people -but find out what causes this disorder. Thank you 5 for fighting for making this video- not everyone shares this mans views- Peace.

Alison Tepper Singer, Senior Vice President, Communications and Awareness for AUTISM SPEAKS says that she had considered driving off the George Washington Bridge with her autistic daughter Jodie in the car. Source: http://www.autismvox.com/alison-tepper-singer-a-mom-of-reinvention/ This video is not as endearing as it seems. Those of us who have autism or who know people who have it are fine with it. We do not want autism to be rid off the face of the earth because that would mean wiping US off the face of the earth. Autism speaks is known among autistics to be a highly offensive and discriminatory organization and I think this video should be taken down. NOW!

This is a very disturbing video not because autism is such an awful thing but because of what the producers of this video have surrepticiously put in the video as propaganda against persons with autism. This is a very judgemental video against autistics and smacks of tactics used by monsters in the 20th century with regards to other perceived-to-be lesser members of society. I can't believe people actually think this way about autistics and think they're doing a wonderful thing by promoting the complete eradication of a group of people.
